Throwing Heads Clip

While we were doing the main tracking for our upcoming CD back in November, I threw up a camera behind the drums and manged to get footage for a few songs. Now that we’ve got final mixes for 6 of the 10 tunes, I put together the below clip of “Camel’s Back”. Thankfully my lovely wife had experience with Adobe Premier and between the two of us, I think it turned out quite well. Ryan had a camera up at the time as well so we’re hoping to get some more footage edited and posted of the guitar tracking soon. I think I’ve got two more songs worth of drum footage and plan to put them up later on my YouTube channel.

I want to say thanks to Dave at Invisible Sound Studios here in Baltimore for making everything sound so awesome.

Ryan threw together a little graphic for Throwing Heads to use:

I think it’s fun and decided to put it up on our MySpace page until we’ve got some actual photos to use. We received the following message after putting it up:

Heads Demo & Other Stuff

Things are moving along with Throwing Heads currently. Head over to http://www.throwingheads.com/ for more info.

Allison and I are getting ready for our trip to Scotland next week. It will be great to see our friends and gracious hosts Robert, Angela and Samantha again. Being able to visit them twice in one year is so unbelievably fantastic. As for seeing Level 42 live, it has been a dream of mine for close to 25 years now to see them play. And to have it happen at the The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow?! No doubt, a dream come true. Their latest album “Retroglide” has been on repeat in the car and I am getting seriously psyched! Of all the artists that I enjoy listening to, Level 42 and Rush are the two that I will never tire of.

The plans are set and everything is booked for the family trip to Disney World for Thanksgiving. I still can’t believe we’re spending T-Day and almost a week in a theme park. It’s going to be awesome!! I’ll be able to have a pint at the Rose & Crown multiple days in a row! ;) A HUGE thanks is owed to the Giovettis for making this happen.

I’ve already tweeted about this stuff but I’ll point it out again for those not on Twitter:

A new Rush DVD is coming out in November!! Head over to Power Windows for more info.

Tomb Raider: Underworld looks like it’s going to totally kick butt (and the heads of tigers apparently):
